COACHING COURSES AND INFORMATION FOR COACHES
Coaching Courses can soon be conducted on - line. Coaching levels for Fin Swimming are:- Beginner/Junior coach - This coaching course is for coaches taking junior competitors and beginner adults - working as an assistant coach working mainly on style, streamlining, learning to use a snorkel and graduating to a Mono Fin from flippers Club Coach - The Club coach course is for those who have completed the Beginner/Junior coach course and have achieved 40 or more coaching hours This coach is the liaison between competitor, family members and club committee. The club coach should be looking to train swimmers for inclusion in State teams and club competitions State Coach - The State coach course is for coaches wishing to prepare their competitors for National competition. They must have completed the Club Coach course and have had a number of competitors at National Championships. National Coach - The National coach is selected mainly on experience and competition results. This coach is to be a mentor to other coaches and travel with interntational teams as the primary coach.
